The invention concerns a device 1 for a subscriber exchange 2, comprising a number of connection apparatus 3, 4, and requisite means of connection 7, this latter able to be operated in such a way that, dependent upon a code given by a calling subscriber apparatus 6, it can connect via available connection routes 7 the calling apparatus 6 with a called apparatus 4 corresponding to the code, and a device 8, 13 arranged to be able to determine whether the called apparatus 4 in question is engaged or not at that moment in time. If the abovementioned device 8, 13 determines that the called apparatus 4 in question is engaged, or if at the time in question a connection device belonging to the called apparatus in question is activated, in order to mark the apparatus 4 in question as engaged, an answer machine 21 or the like is activated. The message on the answer machine is arranged to inform the calling party 6 providing information that incoming calls to the called apparatus 4 in question are being placed in a queue and providing information about the measures the calling party 6 must carry out in order to enter into the queuing system 23 and the calculated 22 time at which the party now being called 4 intends to initiate a call to the party now calling 6. The connection apparatus 4 has access to a terminal 24 with associated display unit 25 upon which is listed at least the subscriber numbers which have been entered longest in the queue and their allotted time when the called party 4 is to call them. <IMAGE> |
