<p>PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic of an idler drive mechanism by installing one end of an arm on a power gear and the other end to an idler gear and equipping a spring or a thrust giving means made of a viscous material such as grease between the arm and the power gear. CONSTITUTION:Due to the normal rotation of a motor, the power gears 1F and 1R make normal turns, and the arms 2F and 2R swing outside. In case of normal travel, the arm 2F at the normal side swings freely, and the idler gear 4F press-contacts a reel base 5F at the normal side and rotates it clockwise. The press-contact force of the idler gear 4F is available from the thrust force of a little spring 3 equipped between the gears 1F and 1R and the arms 2F and 2R. If a motor is rotated reversely in this state, the power gears 1F and 1R rotate reversely to make turns counterclockwise each other, and the arms 2F and 2R swing inside. Then the idler gear 4F at the travel side is separated from the reel base 5F and stops its rotation. Since in such a way the idler gears 4F and 4R slip off out of the reel bases 5F and 5R, a tape is wound, and such possibility as sagging, torsion and entangelement of the tape is hardly found.</p> |
