PURPOSE:To improve icing efficiency by efficiently releasing supercooled water and crystallizing ice by providing a heat accumulating tank, a supercooler for supercooling a part of water in the heat accumulating tank and a piping for circulating the water in the heat accumulating tank to load side. CONSTITUTION:When a water circulating pump 18 is driven, cold water in a heat accumulating tank 2 is fed through a cold water pipe 7 to each heat- transfer pipe in a supercooler 1. Brine cooled by a brine cooler 3 is circulated by driving a brine circulation pump 6 through a brine feeding pipe 4 and a brine return pipe 5 to the supercooler, whereby circulating water (cold water) from the heat accumulating tank 2 is cooled continuously to generate supercooled water. The supercooled water generated in the respective heat- transfer pipes in the supercooler 1 is collected at an outlet of the supercooler 1 by a miniature pipe 17 and led into the water circulating pump 18. Then the supercooled water is released from supercooling by shock of agitation of the pump 18. By this release of supercooling, ice pieces are crystallized out of the supercooled water and the supercooled water returns into equivalent ice and water. The ice pieces and water drop down into the heat accumulating tank 2, in which the ice pieces are accumulated. |
