PURPOSE:To carry on a color printing process as much as possible while avoiding a printing failure state by selectively processing pages which can be printed while comparing and collating color print information of continuous pages with the developer states of the respective colors. CONSTITUTION:When color image information is received in page units, a CPU 11 analyzes color component information of the color image information received in page units in a storage device (provided in a data receiver 16) and developer rest state information on the respective colors of a color printer engine to decide the color printing possibility of each page. The CPU 11 selects pages which can be printed in the color image information received in the storage device according to the decision result. Then color image information on the corresponding pages is transferred preferentially to the color printer engine and the color image information on the pages which can be printed is printed as much as possible in the developer rest states of the respective colors of the color printer engine. |
