<p>A material is provided which can be implanted in living tissue, particularly bony tissue, and has a biodegradation rate matching the rate at which the tissue regenerates. The material may include an active substance providing an extended therapeutical effect. Said material includes (a) a calcium phosphate having an apatitic or triclinic structure and containing HPO4 and PO4 groupings; (b) a biodegradable oside or polyoside, particularly dextran; (c) as required, an active substance having amine groupings such as netilmicin and/or gentamicin in sulphate form. The implantable material can be produced without using heat by compacting the various components in powder form.</p> |
