PURPOSE:To speed up a window display by providing a rearrangement device which rearranges memory areas of a frame memory, window by window, and a window controller which specifies the up-down relation, sizes, positions of the windows displayed on a display. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit 1 divides the frame memory 14 into the areas, window by window, by using the memory rearrangement device. The window controller 13 specifies the up-down relation, sizes, and positions of the windows. A display controller 15 reads the frame memory 14 through the memory rearrangement device 12 under the control of the window controller 13 and converts the read data into a display signal, which is displayed on the display 16. Therefore, software can alters the up-down relation and positions of the windows by altering respective parameters for the window controller and the memory rearrangement device. |
