PURPOSE:To reduce radiated noise to its minimum by disposing discharge lamps and condensors in such a manner that the direction of a high frequency current flowing through the closed circuit of one discharge lamp and condensor is reversed with respect to that of a high frequency current flowing through the closed circuit of the other discharge lamp and condensor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of condensors 4, an inverter power source portion 5 and an inverter ballast portion 6 are installed in a box 1. The arrangement of each socket 2a, 2b for a fluorescent lamp 3a is reversed with respect to that of each socket 2a, 2b for a fluorescent lamp 3b. The direction of a high frequency current flowing through the closed circuit of one discharge lamp 3a and condensor 4 is reversed with respect to that of a high frequency current flowing through the closed circuit of the other discharge lamp 3b and condensor 4 so as to cancel out a magnetic field generated by each of the high frequency currents. Radiated noise is thereby reduced, preventing noise from entering other nearby electronic equipment and the like. |
