A module frame adapted to be connected to further such frames to form a larger modular structure and to carry fittings, e.g. in a ship's engine room, comprises a pair of horizontal and parallel main beams (2), a pair of beam members (3) extending between and welded to the main beams, a support column (6) extending vertically from each junction of the main beams with the beam members and a connector (7) connected to each free end of the main beams, the beam members and the support columns. The position of the connectors (7) on the module frame is precisely predetermined with respect to one another whereby adjacent module frames may be connected together highly accurately without any adjustment being necessary.
