MANUFACTURE OF MICROCAPSULES OF FINE PHOTOSENSITIVE PARTICLES

PURPOSE:To enable uniform coating of a single core capsule by performing phase separation of polyvinyl alcohol on the circumference of the core material. CONSTITUTION:The fine solid photosensitive particles composed essentially of the compound having an additionally polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated double bond and a photopolymerization initiator are dispersed as the core substance into an aqueous solution containing a perfectly saponified polyvinyl alcohol and a surfactant and/or another water-soluble polymer. Next, an electrolyte is added into this liquid dispersion to execute the phase separation around each of the core particles to form the microcapsules, thus permitting each obtained microcapsule to comprise the single core of the fine solid photosensitive particle and the outer shell of the polyvinyl alcohol and to be uniformly coated and easily manufactured.
