ALKYL ESTERS OF N-CARBOALKYLOXY AMINO-11-UNDECANOIC ACIDS, THEIR USE AS THICKENING AGENTS

The alkyl esters of N-carboalkyloxy-11-aminoundecanoic acids have the following general formula: (I) wherein R is linear or branched C7-30 alkyl, linear or branched C4-22 alkenyl or a radical of formula: wherein n is 0 to 5 R'' is H or linear or branched C1-9 alkyl, and R' is linear C10-18 alkyl. These esters, and esters wherein R is additionally hydrogen or C1-6, have an application as thickening agents in organic media particularly in the cosmetic field.
