摘要 PURPOSE:To slowly steer rear wheels to a target angle at the time of restarting an engine by permitting an electronic control device to generate signals for steering the rear wheels to the final target angle while the rear wheel steering target angle is being gradually increased when the engine is restarted in a state that the wheels are steered. CONSTITUTION:A target rear wheel steering operating means 1 is to operate the target steering angle of rear wheels adjusted to the steering angle of front wheels when an engine is restarted, and a rear wheel steering angle magnitude operating means 2 is to operate the magnitude of the rear wheel steering angle by which the rear wheels are moved by degrees when the rear wheels are steered to the target steering angle. In this case, a rear wheel steering actuator steers the rear wheels in response to signals for the magnitude of the rear wheel steering angle. When the engine is restarted in a state that a vehicle is in a steered condition as mentioned above, as the rear wheels are slowly steered up to the target steering angle, it is possible that the vehicle is subjected to less vibration while the rear wheels are being steered, so that crews are thereby free from uncertain feeling.
