PURPOSE:To operate a crew member protector main body surely and precisely by integrating an acceleration signal doubly, also weighting an integration outcome, predicting the displacement of a crew member upper body after a predetermined time, and operating the crew member protector main body by conducting comparison with a predetermined threshold value. CONSTITUTION:An acceleration sensor 1 detects the change of acceleration due to vehicle collision or the like, outputs an analogue signal, and the 1st imperfect integration circuit 2 conducts the integration of the analogue signal from the sensor 1. The 2nd imperfect integration circuit 3 conducts again the imperfect integration of the imperfect integration output from the 1st imperfect integration circuit 2. The 1st coefficient circuit 4 adds the 1st coefficient to the detection output of the sensor 1, and the 2nd coefficient circuit 5 adds the 2nd coefficient to the imperfect integration output of the circuit 2. An addition circuit 6 adds the output from the circuit 3, the output from the circuit 4 and the output from the circuit 5, and when an addition output exceeds a predetermined threshold value, a comparison circuit 7 changes an output level into, for example, a high level, and an ignition device 9 operates an air bag on the basis of the output of a drive circuit 8. |
