PURPOSE:To automatically inform of a missing page by providing a means for recognizing page information recorded on an original and a means for displaying the missing page based on the information. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 2-9 detects the main scanning address of the point B of an original made of a routine format paper and sets a D type flip- flop 2-11. An address decoder 2-8 decodes length Z and an AND circuit 2-12 arithmetically operates the AND of the output. A signal from a VIDEO input terminal is inputted in an AND circuit 2-14, which outputs '1' or '0', and a counter 2-15 counts picture elements which are decided as black in an area Z. Then, the address of a recognized number with one figure is latched in a register 2-20 and the address of a recognized number with ten figures is latched in a register 2-21, and a CPU reads the contents of the registers and recognizes the number of pages. A liquid crystal display part executes not only the display of copying magnification and the number of copies but also the warning display of the missing page. |
