<p>PURPOSE:To surely pull out the casting sand for the liquid-cooled jacket 4 after the casting of a cylinder head from a casting sand pulling-out port by widely forming the casting sand pulling-out port on the lateral side of the liquid-cooled jacket formed between the top dead center side parts of the front and rear part cylinders. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-cooled jacket 4 is installed in a cylinder head 3 assembled on the cylinders 1 and 2 which are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction, and the liquid-cooled jacket 4 is formed between both the top dead center side parts 5 and 6 of the contiguous front and rear part cylinders 1 and 2. Further, a pair of intake or exhaust ports 9 and 9 are installed horizontally along the front and rear walls 7 and 8 of the liquid-cooled jacket 4, and the casting sand pulling-out port 11 of the liquid-cooled jacket 4 is formed on the lateral side of the cylinder head 3, between the port wall flanges 10 and 10 at the edge parts of a pair of ports 9 and 9. Further, a manifold installation seat 13 is formed from the peripheral wall 12 of the casting sand pulling-out port 11 and the port wall flanges 10 and 10, and a ventilaring manifold 15 is installed through a series of gaskets 14 on the manifold installation seat 13.</p> |
