<p>PURPOSE:To decelerate a transfer material without impact force by an intermediate carrying body, to prevent the occurrence of the jumping and the positional deviation of a transfer material and to prevent developer from scattering from the transfer material by gradually and consecutively decelerating the transfer material between an image forming part and a fixing part by the intermediate carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A little time after the leading edge of the transfer paper P comes to one part of the intermediate carrying body 30, the turning speed of a belt 32 is gradually made lower and lower from an image forming speed V1, and the turning speed of the belt is made equal to a fixing speed V2 a little time before the leading edge of the transfer paper P comes to a fixing device 20. As the transfer paper P is carried from a transfer belt 19 to the belt 32 of the carrying body 30, it is gradually and consecutively decelerated from the image forming speed V1 to the fixing speed V2, so that the sudden fluctuation of the speed is not caused on the transfer paper P and the transfer paper P does not receive the impact force from the carrying body 30. Therefore, the faulty actuation of a sensor, etc., which occurs because the transfer paper P is deviated or jumps from the belt 32 of the carrying body 30 in the middle of deceleration, is prevented from occurring.</p> |
