<p>PURPOSE:To perform fast information transfer by providing a storage plane of first system and that of second system in which plural memory cells forming a set of first optical functional element and second optical functional element are arranged, and connecting them optically. CONSTITUTION:The information of a set of one input signal and its inversion signal converted to an optical signal by light emitting elements 3a, 3b can be accumulated by applying a write bias to an optical functional element array 1 i.e. the storage plane of first system. Thence, all the information can be transferred from the storage plane of first system to that of second system by applying a readout bias to the storage plane of first system and simultaneously, applying the write bias to an optical functional element 2 i.e. the storage plane of second system. After that, the optical signal is outputted to light receiving elements 4a, 4b arranged on plural output planes by applying the readout bias to the storage plane of second system, and it is photoelectrically converted by each light receiving element, and is outputted as an electrical signal. Thereby, input optical signals from plural light emitting elements are inputted to the storage plane in parallel, and the information are outputted from the storage plane to a light receiving element array in parallel, thereby, fast information transfer can be performed.</p> |
