PURPOSE:To produce the color filter substrate without damaging antireflection films by forming the antireflection films and color filters on separate substrates and adhering the rear surfaces of the two substrates by a transparent adhesive layer. CONSTITUTION:The antireflection films 5 formed on the transparent substrate 1 consist of a magnesium fluoride layer 2, and aluminum oxide layer 3 and a zirconium oxide layer 4. The color filters 7 of green G and magenta Mg are formed in a stripe shape on the transparent substrate 6. An acrylic resin layer 8 is formed thereon and further a counter electrode 9 consisting of ITO and an oriented film 10 for orienting liquid crystal molecules are formed thereon over the entire surface. The surface of the substrate 1 on which the antireflection films 5 are not formed and the surface of the substrate 6 on which the color filters 7 are not formed are adhered by the transparent adhesive layer 11. |
