The body of a perambulator is moulded in two parts, the lower part 10 having a raised base 16 supporting the upper part 11 which has a lip 21a surrounding its upper edge 20 and overlying the upper edge of the lower part 10. The body is preferably made from plastics material by vacuum forming or injection moulding. The lower shell is drilled at the corners to receive the upper ends of a chassis frame which is secured to the lower frame 10 by rivets.
