PURPOSE:To detect the incident direction of radiations with a radiation detecting probe without using any collimator by constituting the probe so that the probe can output signals corresponding to light emitting quantities of a plurality of scintillation crystals having different light emitting wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:A radiation detecting probe 1 is provided with, for example, four kinds of scintillation crystals 2a-2d as a plurality of radiation detecting sensors at its front end. The crystals 2a-2d are formed of, for example, BGO, CWO, etc., and when radiations, such as gamma rays, etc., are made incident to the crystals, respectively emit fluorescence of different wavelengths. Each crystal 2a-2d has a shape of a quartered cylinder and has the same volume and surface area. The crystals 2a-2d are covered with a thin cap 3 and one end faces and side faces of the crystals are shielded from light. The other ends of the crystals 2a-2d are optically joined with the leading end face of a light guide fiber 4 with optical cement, etc., and the rear end of the fiber 4 is connected to a waveform-splittable photoelectric converter 5. The output signal of the converter 5 is transmitted to a signal counting display 7.
