<p>Plaster compositions consist of (a) conventional ingredients, such as binding agents, inorganic/organic fillers, and foaming and/or gas releasing agents; and (b) a substance selected from polyvinyl compounds, alkylcelluloses, carboxyalkylcelluloses, hydroxyalkylcelluloses, casein, or a mixture of two or more of these substances. The incorporation of component (b) gives plasters which are characterised by improved bonding to substrates, greatly reduced shrinkage, greater ease of application, improved drying rate, and better strength, flexability, and hardness. The plasters are useful in all applications of conventional plasters.</p> |
