<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title chip resistor which is mounted stably undefectively on a printed substrate by a method wherein the circumferential part of the rear part of an electrode is protuberant from other part. CONSTITUTION:The title chip resistor is provided with electrodes 2, 3 and 6 which are formed on the region ranging from the upper surface to the rear surface of an insulated substrate 1 on both end parts of the insulated substrate 1, and a resistor 4 formed on the upper surface of the insulated substrate 1, on which dividing slits are formed on the surface in longitudinal and lateral directions, in such a manner that it is connected to the electrodes 2, 3 and 6. At the same time, an almost square-shaped rear electrode is formed on the surface corresponding to the upper electrode 2, an electrode 4 is formed, and after the substrate has been divided by the lateral slit, an edge face electrode 6, with which the upper surface electrode 2 and the rear surface electrode will be connected, is formed on the cut edge face, and the substrate is separated into individual resistor by dividing it by the horizontal slit.</p> |
