PURPOSE:To prevent accidental bending or buckling of a terminal by partially putting an insulation film on a connector terminal of a male connector arranging a large number of connector terminals of a male connector to be connected electrically to a female connector. CONSTITUTION:Insualtion film coating Ic8 id not applied to ground terminals 5 but applied to power source terminals 6 over a small range from the terminal tip, and applied to signal terminals 7 over a wider range than to the power source terminals 6. at the time of connecting the male connector 1 to the female connector 2, the electrical connection is made with the coating Ic8 from the terminals 5 for releasing static electrically, followed by the connection with the terminals 7, and finally with the terminals 7 when connected to the full depth. at the time of pulling out the connector 1 from the connector 2, shutoff is made in the reverse sequence to that described above in the order of terminals 7, 6, and 5 so that sparks occurring between the terminals 6 and the corresponding female contacts 4 is released to the ground through the terminals 5. In comparison to the connectors having different terminal length, there is no possibility of the terminals being bent or buckled. Manufacturing process are also simplified. |
