The component is for a sound-protection wall or for cladding of rock and concrete walls, where profiled holding profiles (10) are mounted at intervals alongside or one behind the other and joined by cross-members, guy ropes etc. Felt nets, mats (30,32) etc. are mounted on their outside to secure filling material such as earth (H), on which plants can be grown. Struts (24) secure the component to a steep base surface (U), or another component, and also allow adjustment of the component incline.
