The invention relates to the production of splints which are light-weight and easy to use. These splints can be cut, and they have, within their walls, flanges (B) which can themselves be cut in order to adapt the dimensions of the splint to the immobilised limb. The crural/pedal splints additionally have a wedge (C) for completing the immobilisation. These splints are intended in particular for the immobilisation of traumatic injuries of the limbs. <IMAGE>
