PURPOSE:To inform a drive of the advancing direction and distance information required for operation by storing the position measurement data of his car every determined time by use of a position measuring artificial satellite, and reading this data to guide the car. CONSTITUTION:A car position is measured by a GPS antenna 1 and a GPS receiver 2 by use of a position measuring artificial satellite 7, and the position measurement data having the car position at that time as a measuring point is successively stored in a memory means 6 every determined time interval. The measurement data stored in the memory means 6 is successively read out in a determined order, the measurement data of the present measuring position is compared with the measurement data of the following measuring position, and the distance from the present measuring position and the direction from the present measuring position are computed by an arithmetic means 3. The distance from the present measuring position and the direction from the present measuring position computed by the arithmetic means 3 and a comment for the measurement data by the operation of a present position registering switch are displayed on a display means 4. Thus, the time for inputting road data while seeing an atlas can be saved, a map display means can be omitted since this device does not display the map directly or by an electric signal to synthetically display the present position thereon and the advancing direction and distance information required for operation can be proposed to a driver at low cost. |
