PURPOSE:To increase the density of recording by respectively independently condensing plural kinds of laser beams which are perpendicular in polarization direction to each other to the same pit of the optical information recording medium by plural gating elements. CONSTITUTION:Plural laser beam sources 1, 2 which are parallel in exit optical axes with each other and are perpendicular in polarization direction to each other, the 1st grating element 4 which aligns the light beams emitted from the respective laser beam sources 1, 2 onto the same optical axis and the 2nd grating element 10 which is used to separate the reflected light from the optical information recording medium 8 to two luminous fluxes parallel with each other by the polarization direction are provided. The density of the recording is increased in this way and the size and weight of the optical pickup are reduced. |
