<p>Plate type radiators are fabricated and finished by rust proofing and lacquering before the inlet and outlet connections are made. This prevents foreign matter entering the radiator, as can happen when the connections are made before the final lacquering operation. Holes are drilled through the finished radiator and a special tube connection is placed inside the hole and expanded into it to fit tightly. The tubes are made from perforated strip and may be either split tubes or of a trilobe design to allow the right amount of expansion.</p> |
