PURPOSE:To attain accurate self-repair by detecting an applicable case out of plural cases stored in a case storing means based upon the diagnosed state and cause of a failure, executing the repair work of the failure, detecting the state of an objective device, and deciding whether the failure has been removed or not. CONSTITUTION:A case storing means 17 arranges and stores plural cases at least in each failure case. For instance, the cases of failure causes such as 'setting defect of halogen lamp','defect of main charging voltage' and 'defect of developing bias' are individually arranged and stored. A case detecting means retrieves the cases stored in the means 17 and detects the case of a failure state and a failure cause diagnosed by a failure diagnostic means 12. Then, work included in the case detected by the case detecting means is executed as failure repairing work, and after completing the repairing work, whether the failure has been removed or not is decided. Thus, the accurate self-repair can be executed. |
