<p>An invert emulsion metal working fluid in which stability is gained by restriction of the particle size. Preferably the particles have a peak size less than one micron, at least 10 % and preferably 20 % of the volume of water being present in particles of less than 0.4 microns in diameter. The emulsion is mixed by introduction of the water phase into the oil phase with agitation and through a high shear screen.</p> |
