摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of working circumstance due to scattering of flux dusts by using a flux under the coarce powder state having a specified particle size distribution as the flux for removing inclusions in molten steel in tundish of continous casting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The flux having next compsn. is used for adsorbing and removing harmful nonmetallic inclusions such as Al2O3 in the molten steel by the addition thereto in the tundish of continous casting apparatus. The flux is mixed so that compsn. of <3% C, 5-15% SiO2, 5-20% Al2O3, 30-60% CaO, 5-20% MgO, 10-40% CaF2 is obtained, and with the particle size distribution in which particle size has 0.01-5mm. diameter, and >=50% therein becomes >=0.1mm. particles. Or these raw materials are ignited, melted then milled to coarse powder state of said particle size. The flux without having any adverse effect on working circumstance due to scattering of fine particles and giving no variation of the compsn. thereof is obtained.</p>
