Staircase for use on building site - has individual steps supported on brackets nailed to wooden side members

A staircase, which can be easily installed and removed, is intended for use in a building whilst it is being constructed. The staircase consists of two wooden beams (5) which form side members which are connected by individual steps (6,6a,6b). Each step consists of a tread element (7) which is supported at each end on a bracket (13) which is nailed or screwed to the beam (5). Each bracket consists of an angle member with a vertical side (23) and a horizontal side (21) which supports the tread element (7). The ends of the angle arms, are connected by a sloping member (16) with the lower end displaced relative to the upper end. The sloping member has holes for the nails or screws and its lower end fits over the upper end of the sloping member of the bracket immediately below. Each bracket on one side of the staircase is connected to the corresponding opposite bracket by a cross-member. USE/ADVANTAGE - Staircase for use on a building site which is easily assembled and dismantled.
