<p>A container which has a neck (17) through which contents of the container can be poured and which can be stacked with similar containers one upon another. The container has a top wall (11) in which the neck (17) is formed and a bottom wall (13) which is provided with a recess (29) for accomodating the neck of a similar container when the containers are in a stacked condition. The container has a first support surface (21) surrounding the neck (17) and a second support surface (23) surrounding the recess (29). The two support surfaces (21, 23) are so arranged that the first support surface of one container supports the second support surface (23) of a corresponding container stacked on it. Engagement between the first and second support surfaces of the two stacked containers provides the only load bearing contact between the containers.</p> |
