An electrostatic spray painting head equipped with two independent drives for high voltage vertically spinning discs characterised in that the paint atomiser consists of two discs, the lower disc (5) and the upper disc (6) which spin at alternating speeds (+w1 and -w2), of which the upper disc (6) with sharp edge is the electrode which feeds the paint to the escape zone (12), and the adjacent lower disc (5) is equipped with blades (14) which generate an air stream whose direction is contrary to the direction of the paint streams in the escape zone around the discs (5 and 6).<IMAGE>
