PURPOSE:To utilize graphic input and an editing process in the form of existent contour character information and to facilitate operation by providing a means which generates contour character data from graphic data. CONSTITUTION:A contour character data input converting means which is a program stored in a program memory 110 reads contour information data on a character indicated among characters registered in a contour character data storage memory 112 onto a contour character data memory 109, converts the data into the graphic data from a constituent element memory 106 and a coordinate control memory 107, and stores the data in a graphic data memory 108. Then a means which generates the contour character data from the graphic data converts the graphic data stored in the graphic data memory 108 into contour character data and stores the data in a contour character data memory 109, and registers the data which are already stored in the contour character data storage memory 112. Consequently, malfunction is prevented. |
