A system for measuring Stokes parameters of optical beams, fixed or varied in time, equipped with a light-dividing plate and a light-dividing prism. The light-dividing plate PL stands on the way of an analysed optical beam and splits it into two beams (W1, W2). Each of these beams is then further split by polarisation light-dividing prisms (P1, P2). The prism planes and the plane of the initial optical beam intersect at a vectoral angle of + 45 degrees or - 45 degrees.<IMAGE>
