(A) Cpds. (I) - Y=-CH2CH2-, -CHMeCH2-, or -CH2CHMe-. - R=(1-5C)alkyl, lower alkenyl, MeO(CH2) or EtO(CH2)n where n = 1 or 2 - X=halogen, (1-4C)alkyl, (1-4C)Oalkyl, or CF3 in 3, 4 or pref. 5-position with respect to CS. - R'=(3-6C)alkyl, (5-8C) cycloalkyl, cyclohexenyl, methylcyclohexenyl, cyclohexyl substd. by 1 or 2 (1-2C) alkylene residues, pref. in posns. 4-6, chlorocyclohexyl, lower alkoxycyclohexyl, an endomethylene cyclohexyl, cyclohexenyl, cyclohexylmethyl, or cyclohexenylmethyl, nortricyclyl or adamantyl. - (B) Salts of I. - Hypoglycaemics. - N-(4-(beta-(-2 methoxy-5-bromo-thiobenzamido)-ethyl)-benzenesulphonyl )-methylure- thane(9.7 g.) and cyclohexylamine (2 g.) were heated 1.5 h. at 110 deg. in dioxan (100 ml.), MeOH being distilled off. The mixture was cooled, dild. with a little H2O, filtered, and recryst. from MeOH, giving the N'-cyclohexyl-urea, m.p.166-7 deg.
