PURPOSE:To accurately prevent an electronic part from moving and, consequently, its lead from bending by a method wherein, when the electronic part is received in the receiving recess part of a retaining body, a locking projection or hole on the underside of the electronic part is engaged with an engaging part on the bottom part of the receiving recess part. CONSTITUTION:When an electronic part 10 is received in the receiving recess part 3 of a retaining tape 2, a locking projection 13 is engaged with a locking hole 7 in the bottom surface of the recess part 3 to accurately prevent the movement of the electronic part 10 and retain the lead 12 thereof on a groove 4 in a raised position and, since there is no possibility of the lead contacting the retaining tape 2, the lead 12 can be prevented perfectly from bending. Also, since the locking projection 13 and the mating locking hole 7 are small in the exterior size, even if so large a fitting clearance as to permit an easy reception and retention of the electronic part 10 is provided, the positional accuracy thereof can be maintained. Moreover, when the electronic part 10 is mounted on a circuit board 8, there is no possibility of the attaching part between the lead 12 and the electrode on the circuit board 8 being adversely affected by an adhesive agent which has been forced out. |
