PURPOSE:To offer the optical connection box which facilitates connection switching, maintenance, etc., and prevents an increase in size by supporting respective adapter holders slidably on a holder support frame. CONSTITUTION:The adapter holders 6 are fitted and supported slidably in respective grooves 7 of the holder support frame 4 so that they can be drawn to the front individually while adjacent holders are put mutually close in plural upper and lower stages. A stopper part 6A is provided at a terminal of each adapter holder 6 and does not come out on the whole when drawn out, and held at the horizontal attitude. Each of the adapter holders 6 is provided with plural adapters 8 on the front side. This optical connection box enables an adapter holder 6 having an adapter 8 where the optical connector 10 of a target optical fiber cord 1 is inserted to be drawn out to the front when the connection switching, maintenance, etc., is required. In this state, other connectors 10 and 12 and other optical fiber cords 1 and 11 do not disturb the connection switching, maintenance, etc. |
