PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium of good adhesion between a magnetic material layer and a substrate by coating a magnetic coating using a specific binder on a substrate consisting of a polyester film of a small average crystal grain size, followed by drying. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film of 36-46Angstrom of an average crystal grain size having been subjected to stretching and orientation treatment is used as a backing material. Namely, the magnetic coating contg. a binder (A) consisting of 10-90wt% polyvinylchloride, polyvinylacetate or vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer (a) and 90-10wt% isocyanate compound and polyurethane resin (b) and magnetic powder (B) is applied on the above-mentioned backing material and is dried, whereby the magnetic material layer is formed and the recording medium is obtained. |
