<p>PURPOSE:To utilize this command input device in accordance with the skillfullness of each person independently of a beginner or an expert without using a mouse by inputting a command by the combination of an input character string and an active menu item. CONSTITUTION:Twelve satellites 21 in total shown by white and black circles arranged on an elliptic locus are menu items, the white circles 21b are non-active and the black circle 21a is active. When a scanning menu selecting means 12 successively changes active menu items with the lapse of time, a user completes the depression of an input character string at proper timing during the active period of a required menu item. Thereby, the modification, i.e. preprocessing or post processing, of the depressed input character or the change of the character string can be optionally selected based upon the attribute of the required menu item at the time of the completion. Consequently, any person, i.e. a beginner or an expert, can continuously utilize the command input device without using a mouse.</p> |
