PURPOSE:To form an anode terminal with a simple method by forming an anode on a spacer that forms a display discharge space. CONSTITUTION:A cathode lead 2, a resistance 3, and a Ni cathode conductor 4 are formed on a soda glass insulating substrate 1, and a dielectric layer 5 is provided on the entire surface other than the Ni cathode 4. A Ni paste is printed on the dielectric layer 5, and is baked, and an auxiliary anode 13 is provided, so as to form a matrix by crossing the cathode lead 2 and thus arranging the auxiliary anode. Barium azide is printed, and is thermally decomposed in vacuum, so as to form a barium cathode 6, and a translucent surface plate 7 such as soda glass is layered thereupon. A cathode 8 is formed by printing a Ni paste, for example, on a spacer 10 that forms a display discharge space 15, and by baking it. The auxiliary discharge is carried out by an auxiliary discharge space 14 between the auxiliary anode 13 provided on the insulating substrate 1 and the barium cathode 6. In this structure, an anode can be formed with a simple method of thick film printing, and the process of a gas discharge panel can thus be simplified. |
