The tensioning device (150) includes a tensioning sprocket (152) that is coupled to a sprocket (156) of the driven system by a chain or the like (154). An actuator (160) positions the tensioning sprocket (152) to maintain tension on the chain (154), and, therefore, the drive system. An additional tensioning device (182), such as a spring-biased sprocket (184), is also positioned against the chain (154) to prevent any looseness from developing during operation.
