The roadside guide-post is of the type knocked into the ground. It has a plinth, with a hollow space to accommodate the post, and a socket section below this space with an upwards projecting shaft and with a vertical partition within the bottom of the hollow; the whole plinth unit is designed to be completely driven into the ground. The plinth section (4) sited below the hollow space (3) is partially divided by one or more inward cuts (7) from this space, with the dividing section thus formed serving as the plinth partition. There may be two such dividing sections, forming a double partition wall (9). The plinth may be made of sheet material, with the joint coinciding with the double partition in plan. The shaft may be angled or U-sectioned, fixed to the outside of the plinth at the joint. |
