Method and apparatus for sizing a mini-blind

A manual method and apparatus (10) for shortening the width of a mini-blind by operators having the skill level found in mini-blind retailer outlets is disclosed. In particular manually actuated slat cutting means (15) and manually actuated drilling means (25, 26) which are responsive to the touch and feel of the human operator are provided, which cutting and drilling means facilitates the operator utilization of the equipment as contrasted to a completely automatic system. The method involves siting a ladder at the required position for the desired blind size, drilling a hole for the ladder cord through the stacked slats of the blind, cutting the slats to the required size and threading the ladder cord.
