PURPOSE:To make all of sheets taken off collectively by a method wherein operation of image producing is shifted automatically by operation of a control device to another image producing unit for continuation of the image producing when an initial image producing becomes unavailable for continuation, and all of the sheets on which the image is produced are delivered to a single sheet- delivery section. CONSTITUTION:In the case where a switching claw 25 is in the state 1, the sheets delivered out of a printer 1b are delivered to a sheet delivery tray 30b. In the case where a switching claw 24 is in the state 1, the sheets delivered out of a printer 1a are also delivered to the sheet delivery tray 30b. When the printer 1b runs out of toner, an indication of toner exhaustion is made, and operation is shifted to the printer 1a. In the case where the printer 1a runs out of the toner, the indication of toner exhaustion is made, and the operation of printing is stopped. Thus, the printing is made preferentially by the printer 1b, and when exhaustion of the toner in the printer 1b is detected, the operation is shifted to the printer 1a, making the sheets delivered to the same delivery tray 30b. When the printer 1a runs out of the toner likewise, the printing operation is stopped. |
