发明名称 ASSEMBLING AND OPERATION STARTING METHOD OF FUSED CARBONATE TYPE FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To exercise a high power generating property and a durability for a long period of a cell by heat-treating a material alkaline metal carbonate to dissolve and remove the sodium bicarbonate beforehand, when a fused carbonate type fuel cell is assembled and started to operate. CONSTITUTION:When a fused carbonate type fuel cell is assembled and started to operate by using an electrolyte mainly of an alkaline metal carbonate, the material alkaline metal carbonate is heat-treated to dissolve and remove the sodium bicarbonate beforehand. As a result, no alkaline metal carbonate mixture is leaked out of the cell, an adequate amount is held in the electrolyte plate and in the pores of the electrodes, and thereby, no deterioration of power generating capacity of the cell is generated. Furthermore, a trouble such as a corrosion by the carbonate leaked out of the cell can be reduced.
