<p>PURPOSE:To continuously separate water from oil by disposing in the gas phase area a dehumidifying element comprising a solid electrolyte film which selectively transmits hydrogen ions and a pair of porous electrode layers, provided on both surfaces of the solid electrolyte film, in a manner that the one of the pair porous electrode layers in the cathode side is made to face outside from an aperture provided to the upper part of the oil/water separator. CONSTITUTION:The water content in the oil introduced into the oil/water separator tank 1 is made to vaporize from the liquid phase 3 into the gas phase 4 in the tank 1 and discharged to outside through a dehumidifying element 5. Therefore, this oil/water separator can be continuously used for a long time without interrupting its operation.</p> |
