PURPOSE:To allow lower replenishing and to enhance a desilvering property and to lessen the generation of stains by processing the prescribed sensitive material with a color developer of a prescribed replenishing amt. and a bleaching liquid contg. specific compds. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material having <=1g/m<2> total coated amt. of silver is processed with the color developer with the replenishing amt. of <=160ml per 1m<2> photosensitive material after imagewise exposing and is processed with the bleaching bath contg. the ferric complex salt of the org. acid expressed by formula I. In the formula, A1 to A4 denote -CH2OH, -COOM, etc.; M denotes hydrogen, alkaline metal, etc.; X denotes 3 to 6C alkylene group. The compd. of formula II, etc., is usable as the acid of the formula. At least 50mol% of the silver halide particles to be incorporated into the emulsion layers of the photosensitive material is formed of silver chloride and the pH of the bleaching bath is preferably specified to 2.0 to 5.5.
