Decorative ceramic effect enamel surface - consists of three enamel applications

The surface is produced by a first application of a white enamel layer, which is fired. Then an enamel layer liable to crack on firing is sprayed on top of the white enamel and finally a majolica enamel is sprayed over the whole surface which is then subjected to a second final firing. For optimum decorative effect the majolica enamel should have a different colour then the second enamel layer. Method is a cheap way of producing a ceramic appearance enamel surface.
