PURPOSE:To improve the appearance quality of a welded state by providing a vapor vent hole near the parts to be welded in laser welding of the superposed parts of 1st and 2nd members having rust preventive material layers to each other. CONSTITUTION:The vapor vent hole 9 is formed near the clinched parts (parts to be welded) 6 in the laser welding to weld the superposed parts of the outer panel 2 (1st member) and inner panel 1 (2nd member) of an automobile to each other by using a laser beam R so that the vapor of the rust inhibitive material generated between the opposite surfaces at the time of welding is escaped therethrough. The ejection of the vapor of the rust inhibitive material from the part irradiated with the laser beam R is prevented in this way and the well welded state of the good appearance quality is maintained even with the rust preventive steel plates, etc., having zinc layers (rust preventive material layers) 8 on the surface of the members to be welded. |
